Description

Philodendron is a large genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae. Philodendron Silver Queen originates from the Tropics of South America and the Caribbean. Philodendron hastatum ‘Silver Queen’ is a robust fast-growing plant, it’s silver almost metallic leaves up to 40cm plus in length. This is a strong climbing plant that will need support as it grows. Philodendron ‘Silver Queen’ is a super tricky to get hold of so truly worth the detective work to find one.

Plant Care

• Happy in a shaded area but best in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves, taking a long time to recover
• Water little and often, keeping the soil moist at all times. Allow the top of the soil to slightly dry out in-between watering.
• Philodendrons do best in loose, well-drained soil that is high in organic matter. Both the pot and soil must drain quickly and offer enough space for the roots to expand.
• 15 – 25°C
• Using fertilizers during their growing phase is a fantastic way to exploit the plant’s natural growth cycle and get it to its maximum heights with a minimal amount of time.
