Description

Alocasia Reginula is the botanical name of Black Velvet Alocasia. Black Velvet Alocasia comprises lush, and black leaves with contrasting silver veins. The velvet-like leaves of Alocasia Reginula are a little rough to touch. The upper leaf surface is a dramatic green-black colour, and the lower leaf surface is a rich purple. The rough and apparently velvet leaf surface soaks all the light frequencies falling on them. It emits a black shade in return. The white veins reflect all the light resulting in a prominent contrast on the leaf surface. You will be astonished to know that common green chlorophyll is found inside these charcoal-like leaves just like the green plants.
