Dischidia ovata, the Watermelon Dischidia, is a creeping epiphyte found from South East Asia to North Australia. It is often referred to as a String of Melons as the leaves look like watermelons growing on a vine. In good light, the newer leaves will develop a beautiful red tint. Dischidia is epiphytic and grows best in a coarse, free draining soil mix and has similar care requirements to Hoya. They do not require watering very often at all.

Plant Care
- Bright, indirect light. Avoid too much direct sun. Will tolerate lower light.
- Likes drier soil and reasonable humidity.
- Fast-draining soil that does not hold water or grow mounted as an epiphyte.
- 20 – 35°C
- Apply any organic fertilizer.
