Description
Philodendron ‘Florida Beauty’ is a hybrid from the Araceae family. It has deep green, multi-lobed leaves with a single large lower lobe and salmon pink petioles. Philodendron pedatum is a climbing aroid grown for its foliage. The deep green, multi-lobed, and oak-shaped leaves grow on reddish petioles.
Apart from being an ornamental plant, it further provides the benefits of air-purification. You don’t necessarily need to have a green thumb to grow one at your place. In fact, this low-maintenance plant is a nice choice for all including the beginners, lazy and the busy peeps.
Plant Care
- Florida Beauty’ wants bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct light but avoid hot midday sun or the leaves will scorch.
- Water the plants thoroughly once and then wait for the soil to be completely dry, or at least moist, before you water them again.
- Use a well-draining soil mix and water thoroughly, allowing excess to drain. A waterlogged soil will lead to yellow leaves
- 15 – 25°C
- Two types of fertilizers can be used for this plant. Either a water-soluble, fast-releasing, liquid fertilizer or a granular, slow-releasing fertilizer can work. Feeding them once every two weeks is enough.
