Commonly grown as a houseplant for its attractive foliage, leaves become multi-lobed as they age and may become less variegated. The variegation is strongest in new young growth, regular trimming can encourage more colorful leaves. It produces arum-like flowers, but rarely in cultivation. As the plant ages it will begin to vine, therefore putting it in a hanging basket might be a good idea!

Plant Care

  • Medium light but can tolerate low light. Avoid too much direct sun. Dappled sunlight is ideal.
  • Once weekly. Allow potting mix to dry out before watering.
  • This plant needs a rich, well-drained, and light substrate. Potting mixes are better and light as compared to the potting soils.
  • 18 – 30°C
  • Additional nutrients will show good effects on plant health. Low strength diluted fertilizer about once a month will give the plant a further boost. Don’t overdo it.
